They were very disappointed when I told them I couldn't and it made me feel like an awful big sister, but they wouldn't have been upset if dad hadn't made unrealistic promises to them in the first place.

But today before my dad left for work he promised the girls that I would drive them to get ice cream and the park, which I cannot do.

They are also normal 7 year old twins who don't understand that I need complete quiet and focus when driving so they tend to complain and chatter a lot in the car, distracting me.

It makes my anxiety worse knowing that if my worst fears did come true and I made a mistake driving with them I could hurt them.

This weekend I am babysitting my 7 year old little sisters and while I would be able to handle myself driving them in an emergency, I don't feel comfortable driving them around by myself if I don't have to.

I developed this phobia in high school when my best friend was killed in a car accident and while I am making steps to work on my anxiety issues, but the driving fear has been the hardest to face.
